Frittata is an egg-based Italian dish, similar to an omelet or crustless quiche or scrambled egg, fortified with additional ingredients such as meat, cheese or vegetables. We are trying the frittata with leek this time. The form of leek, one of the healthiest winter vegetables, in this recipe makes you forget its famous olive oil state. So let’s get you to the kitchen! 2 leeks
2 potatoes
2 cloves of garlic
2 spoonful butter
4 eggs
1/2 cup of milk
1 tablespoon of flour
1 teaspoon of salt
1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
3 tablespoons cheddar (grated)

How is it done?

Cut the leeks into 2 cm wide oblique pieces and keep them in a bowl of water. Peel the potatoes, cut them into small cubes and boil them in boiling salted water. Melt the butter in an ovenproof pan and sauté the leeks with finely chopped garlic over medium heat until lightly browned and soft. You can also add a small amount of salt at this stage. Beat the eggs in a deep mixing bowl. Add milk, flour, salt and pepper and continue whisking until smooth. Pour the fried leeks and boiled potatoes into the egg mixture and mix. Put the mixture back into the pan, sprinkle grated cheddar on top and bake in the oven at 195-200 degrees for about 15-20 minutes until it swells and turns golden. If you do not have an ovenproof pan, you can pour the mixture into a lightly oiled baking dish and bake. Take the Frittata out of the oven to the serving plate and slice it. You can serve it hot, warm or cold. Enjoy your meal.
