In which situations is facelift preferred?
Depending on age or due to our congenital characteristics, sagging may occur in certain parts of our face. And or if there are problems with the distribution of the soft tissue volume on the face, facelift is the procedure we do. We call facelift the group of surgeries that allow this volume to be distributed to the face more accurately and also to remove sagging. While it used to be called facelift surgery, facelift can now be thought of as a procedure that allows more volume to be distributed correctly.
So, does facelift remove all wrinkles?
There is no rule that facelift will always remove all wrinkles. Especially fine wrinkles, wrinkles around the eyes caused by laughing, wrinkles on the forehead lines, and vertical wrinkles around the lips may not heal much with facelift surgery. But this is our point of view on the event here; facelift is the main process here, the main thing we do is facelift. What is it doing? It gives a general youth to the face; in three dimensions, volumetrically, volumetrically. It allows the face to regain its youthful topography. On top of that, after we built this tent, fine wrinkles, spots, etc. on one of the tents are removed with or after facelift with some additional procedures (such as botox, laser, fillers or fat injections). A person who sets out on this path should set out knowing that if possible, not only face lift surgery, but also face lift and some complementary treatments such as filler, botox and laser, the result will be beyond good, to an excellent level.
Do the filler before or after the facelift?
Filling should be done after facelift because the problem that requires filling will most likely be solved after facelift. For minor problems that cannot be resolved in surgery, it would be a more logical choice to use the filler after the swelling has subsided after the surgery.
So, in which cases is filler applied after facelift?
Fillers are applications that help us to solve minor problems that make our work easier at many points after the facelift procedure, and help us to improve our results from good to better. For example, after a beautiful facelift surgery on a patient’s face, strengthening weak lips with filler will increase the effect of that surgery. In fine wrinkles, where the effect of facelift is not very sufficient, using fillers takes the result further.
How long do filler applications take?
The effect time of filling applications depends on two basic factors. The first of these is the area where we apply the filling, and the second is the type of filling applied. The more and faster the blood circulation is in the area where we apply the filling, the faster the filling will dissolve from there. The best example of this is the lip, the fillings that dissolve the fastest among the face fillings are lip fillings. The second factor is the type of filling made; Generally, denser fillings, especially on the bone and deeper tissue, tend to last longer, and softer, more fluid fillings and non-cross-linked fillings tend to dissolve earlier. To give an average time, the life of the fillings is between 8 and 12-14 months. This is true for hyaluronic acid fillers. In some regions; In some areas, especially in detention, this period may extend up to 2 years.
What is the difference between fillers and botox?
Fillers and botox are completely different products. The purpose of fillings is to give volume to a place, to fill a place. For example, if some filling is made inside the lip, that lip will grow. Botox, on the other hand, is a drug and this drug prevents the contraction of the muscles in the place where it is made. In other words, that muscle cannot contract despite the nerve impulse. When it cannot contract, the wrinkles that occur due to the contraction of that muscle cannot form. The best example of this is the crow’s feet area, between the eyebrows and forehead lines. When you do botox in these areas, the patient does not use the muscle there, so wrinkles do not occur. While the effect period of Botox is approximately 4 months, the effect period of fillers may extend up to 6 months, 8 months, 1 year or 2 years depending on the location.
