Nose aesthetics is no longer required only for visual concerns, but as a tool to accurately reflect yourself and your personality. Rhinoplasty makes the person feel stronger while giving self-confidence psychologically as well as physical appearance.

The perception of beauty has always changed. Perceptions of beauty for the nose, which is at the most important point of the face, have changed over time according to men and women. At this point, rhinoplasty can be a saving solution and can give you the nose you dream of. However, rhinoplasty is not just for the perception of beauty. Rhinoplasty also plays an important role in damage caused by trauma or in diseases that will cause health problems.
What is rhinoplasty?
Rhinoplasty, or rhinoplasty, as it is commonly used, is a surgical method to reshape the nose. With the developing technology, the structure and deformities of the nose can now be eliminated with many different and reliable methods. Rhinoplasty is recommended for two reasons. The first is to improve the aesthetic appearance, and the second is to improve the functional aspects.
Triggering causes
People prefer rhinoplasty for many different reasons. The operation can be grouped under three main headings according to the preference of the person;
Personal view: Aesthetic concerns can create psychological problems such as lack of self-confidence and self-dissatisfaction. Conditions such as curvature, nasal arch, nose and nostril asymmetry, very large or very small nose can lead people to rhinoplasty.
Breathing problem: Functional and structural problems in people may require rhinoplasty. Such disorders, which are usually accompanied by visual problems, cause serious disorders such as sleep apnea and snoring, as well as the basic breathing problem.
Impact and injury: A blow taken as a result of factors such as an accident or falling can cause damage to the nose. These deformities can have negative consequences not only physically but also psychologically. For this reason, the person may turn to rhinoplasty.
The surgery is performed with two main techniques.
Closed Rhinoplasty technique: In this technique, no incision is made on the skin. The procedure is performed with incisions made from the inside of the nostrils. When the procedure is completed, the incisions are closed with sutures.
Open Rhinoplasty technique: An incision is made along the strip of skin between your nostrils. This incision is combined with incisions around your nostrils. Then the tip of the nose is carefully lifted up and the necessary operation is performed.
Recovery time may vary
The recovery period first varies according to the type of aesthetics and the surgical method to be applied. Therefore, it would be wrong to talk about a fixed time.
If there is no setback in the surgeries performed with the open technique, recovery is seen in an average of 7-10 days. During the first two days after the operation, intense edema, swelling and bruises can be seen. However, these complaints generally decrease significantly at the end of 1 week. While it takes 3 months to completely get rid of swelling and edema, it takes up to 1 year for complete recovery.
In the surgeries performed in closed techniques, the recovery time varies between 7-10. At the end of the operation, the silicone splints attached to the inside of the nose and the protective tape attached to the outside are removed after 3-4 days. Swelling and bruises that occur after surgery heal in a short time.
