How to Make Chestnut Cream Apple Tart?
- For the tart dough, pass the flour, powdered sugar and butter through the robot. When it becomes a grain of sand, add cold water little by little and mix. When the dough comes together, wrap it in cling film and keep it in the refrigerator.
- Draw the edges of the chestnuts and put them in cold water and bring to a boil. When it starts to boil, reduce the heat and cook for about 15 minutes and drain the water.
- Sort the cooked chestnuts and put them back in the pot, add granulated sugar and water and cook on low heat.
- Add the cream to the cooked chestnuts and pass through the blender to puree.
- Open the tart dough between two greaseproof papers and place it in the tart mold. Pierce the base of the dough with a fork and put the cream you prepared.
- Peel and slice the apples and arrange on the cream. Spread the melted butter, sprinkle with granulated sugar and cinnamon. Keep the tart in the refrigerator for 15 minutes.
- Then bake in a preheated 190 degree oven for 40-45 minutes until the apples are soft and the tart is browned. Remove from oven and keep on wire rack. Serve warm or cold, sliced.
